The employees were following script, as the CEO highlighted. And it seems so was everyone else involved: police, passengers. Scripts can make us stupid when we need to be human.

And the overbooking process met its maker. One small incident like this highlights a big chain of silliness.

I’ll still fly United, and hoping that their fares go down :)
