Clam Digging. That’s what I did this past weekend on the wild coast of Washington state. We were after the Pacific razor clam, and I realize now how popular a recreational sport this is. People use ‘clam guns’ to dig into the sand and pull out the clams.
The clam gunning looks like this:
Once the sun set and the tide went out, thousands of head lamps illuminated the beach. The visuals were epic, and the clams delicious.
On the final day, the bald eagles swooped in to have at the carnage.
